Transparencies
Commercial Aviation
PPG Aerospace Transparencies supplies the full product line of flight deck windows for Airbus, Boeing, and McDonnell Douglas aircraft to the latest design change level. We have supplied cockpit windows for Boeing 737, 757, 767 and 777 aircraft since 1994. In addition, PPG supplies flight deck windows for the 747 aircraft. PPG also supplies the main windshields of the Airbus A320 series aircraft and can supply the entire range of flight deck positions for the A330/340 series aircraft.
Regional Aviation
PPG Aerospace Transparencies supplies the full product line of flight deck windows for Bombardier, Embraer, and ATR aircraft to the latest design change level. We are the sole source for the Bombardier CRJ200, 700, and 900 aircraft flight deck windows. Further, PPG is the sole supplier for the Embraer ERJ145 series aircraft, ERJ170/190 series aircraft flight deck windows. PPG can also supply positions for the ATR and Bombardier Dash-8 series aircraft. Finally, PPG supplies product for several aircraft that are currently out of production but still in service including the Fokker series aircraft, BAe 146 series aircraft, and the Saab 340 series aircraft.
General Aviation
PPG Aerospace Transparencies has been a leading supplier of flight deck windows to the general aviation industry for decades. As key suppliers to Adam Aircraft, Bombardier, Cessna, Embraer, Gulfstream, Hawker/Beechcraft, and Piper, PPG has extensive experience in manufacturing lightweight cockpit windows with long service life.
Military Aviation
PPG Aerospace is a leader in military transparency technology. We are an experienced developer and system supplier of upgraded and retrofit military transparencies in the industry. The system upgrades we provide include energy-absorbing internal and external coatings, increased bird impact resistance with no increase in transparency weight, increased pilot vision with wraparound windshields, increased transparency service life, and quick replacement of transparencies for decreased maintenance downtime.
Transparency Repair and Overhaul
PG Aerospace – Transparencies is recognized around the world as a longtime manufacturer of original-equipment and aftermarket aircraft transparencies. With its continued customer commitment, PPG has expanded capabilities to include component overhaul and repair services for framed window assemblies.
Framed window assemblies are overhauled or repaired at PPG’s new FAA-approved state-of-the-are facility located in Huntsville, Alabama, USA. All work is performed by experienced FAA-licensed airframe and power plant technicians under PPG’s long-standing FAR 145 Repair Station Certificate – IL4R262M.
