AIREX® T90 – Easy Processing Structural FST Foam
Closed-cell, thermoplastic, structural foam designed for use with all resin systems and processing technologies, including hand lay-up, vacuum bagging, resin infusion and prepreg. It is easily machined and thermoformed. Suitable for a wide range of structural composite applications due to advantageous properties especially compression strength and modulus, and excellent fatigue and creep characteristics. The foam is chemically stable, UV-resistant and does not absorb water. It is thermally stable during high temperature processing and post curing, with no after expansion. Excellent fire resistance makes T90 well suited for a wide range of applications.

AIREX® T92 – Easy Processing Structural Foam
The long-standing expertise and production experience in AIREX® T90 and T91 have allowed successfully reformulating today’s AIREX® T91 and introducing the new AIREX® T92. With this product 3A Composites Core Materials introduces a new era of PET foams regarding mechanical properties and damage tolerance.
Like the AIREX® T91, the T92 is a closed-cell, PET based, thermoplastic structural foam for use with all resin systems and processing technologies. Its high chemical and temperature stability makes T92 especially suited for pre-preg applications, too.

AIREX® C51 – Industrial Processing Foam
A closed-cell, polymer foam designed to meet the demanding requirements of high-volume industrial sandwich part production. The foam has a high elongation at break and shows good impact and fatigue properties. It can be formed at room temperature to simple shapes as well as thermoformed to complex 3- dimensional parts. The elevated temperature resistance allows short processing cycles with fast curing resin systems, including thermoplastic fibre reinforced skins (GMT) making it very suitable for mass-produced light-weight sandwich structures subjected to both static and dynamic loads in service.

AIREX® PX – Fibre-Reinforced Structural Foam
Closed-cell, fiber reinforced urethane foam uniquely formulated to offer performance advantages over conventional sandwich core materials. A special manufacturing process evenly distributes continuous glass fibers throughout the foam. This generates a very consistent product with enhanced properties especially in compression and shear. The foam is dimensionally stable, has very low water absorption, and is resistant to chemicals and high temperatures. It is ideally suited as a core material for highly loaded sandwich structures or as a replacement for wood and plywood.

BALTEK® Rigid
End grain Balsa wood produced in rigid panels in the dimension of cm. 122 x 61 (4″ x 2″). These boards are used for cores of light weight sandwich boards as an alternative to PVC foam. Although its low weight and thanks to its honeycomb structure the end-grain Balsa has a very high compression strength of more than 100 kg/cm².
The commercial timber is sapwood which is white to oatmeal in colour, with a pink-yellow tinge often with a silken lustre. The texture is fine and even and the grain is straight and open.
